Horchata Agua Fresca

Horchata Agua Fresca is a delightful and refreshing beverage that masterfully combines the creamy sweetness of rice milk with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla. 1 c. Rice
1 Cinnamon Stick, broken in half
1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract
12 oz. Evaporated Milk
12 oz. Condensed Milk
1 c. Sugar
4 c. Water

In a pot, over medium heat combine 1 cup of water and sugar. Stir, and bring to a low simmer until sugar dissolves. Set aside.

In a bowl, combine rice, cinnamon stick and 1 cup of water. Soak rice and cinnamon stick for 24 hours in the refrigerator.

To a blender, blend rice, cinnamon stick and the water the cinnamon and rice was soaked in. Blend this for 1-2 minutes.

Pour rice mixture into a bowl through a mesh strainer. Next, pour 2 cups of water through the mesh strainer stirring to rice mixture until all of the water has pass through.

In the same bowl, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla extract and your simple syrup, mix.

Transfer, to a pitcher and refrigerate for a few hours. Serve over ice, enjoy!
